Lotta Museum

The Lappeenranta Lotta Museum features material related to the traditions of the Lotta Svärd organization and the Civil Guard. Most of the collection has been donated. The objects and stories presented in the exhibition offer insight into the history of Finnish women. The museum highlights Finnish women’s sense of social responsibility and contribution to society.

The museum is maintained by the Etelä-Karjalan Lotta Svärd -perinne ry.

The museum is open from 10:00–14:00 on the following dates:

A Finnish-speaking guide will be present on-site.

Free admission for children under 12

Location

The museum is located at Kirkkokatu 7, Lappeenranta, on the ground floor of an apartment building. Entrance is through the inner courtyard, accessed via a relatively narrow passageway. Two parking spaces for museum visitors are available in the courtyard.
