On this site, we gather every month a sortiment of happenings in the Lappeenranta area for you to get excited about and take part in!

Spring Happenings

 

  • MAR 1st at 10 am to 1 pm Winter Holiday Grand Finale (Harbour)
  • MAR 7th at 10 am to 1 pm Winter event for the whole family (Harbour)
  • MAR 10th at 3-4pm and 4-5 pm Try Ice Hole Fishing, registration(LUT University, Skinnarila) lappeenranta.fi 
  • MAR 14th at 7 am to 2 pm Seasonal Market (Lappeenranta Market square)

Museums:

  • MAR 6th and APR 10th Museum Friday, free entrance to the  South Karelia Museum, Lappeenranta Art Museum and Cavalry Museum (the fortress of Lappeenranta)
  • The Wolkoff House Museum is decorated for Easter in accordance with the family’s traditions. (Kauppakatu 26)

Local culture:

Experience the nature:

  • Downhill and cross-country skiing in Myllymäki Ski Centre (Joutseno)
  • Enjoy outdoor activities, walking on the Rantaraitti lakeside route in a beautiful spring landscape! 
  • E-fatbikes and snowshoes can be rented from Saimaan Palju Events
  • Explore the historical Fortress of Lappeenranta, the nature and cultural trail goes around the historical Fortress.
