Beaches and swimming centres

Lappeenranta is a city with a long shoreline. The biggest beaches are located in Myllysaari, Sammonlahti, Voisalmi and Murheistenranta, near the Saimaa Canal.
The Myllysaari Beach and Recreation Area is the main beach in town, and it is located right next to the city centre. There are extensive beach services in the area. In addition to the sandy beach and green areas, there is a diving platform and a thrilling roller slide, a parkour track, beach volley court and an area with exercise and climbing equipment. Dogs have their own, designated swimming spot, nearby. In the winter, there are two spots available for winter swimmers: at the swimming area and near the public sauna.
