The Dream year of Culture’s "Loistava Lappeenranta" week will be celebrated from 16 to 24 November 2024, culminating in an evening party on Saturday 23 November at Marianaukio square

Theme of Loistava Lappeenranta week is light art. You can admire buildings bathed in twilight, seasonal street lights, shop windows decorated with lights and enjoy different kinds of light art.

The light works have been created by professional artists Aleksandra Hintsala, the artist group Äärellinen Joukko, Antti Nieminen and the South Karelian Artists' Association.

Evening party with art and music performances and disco

Loistava Lappeenranta week will culminate in an evening party at Marianaukio on 23 November at 18-20.30, open to all and free of charge. The event is organised in partnership with Lappeenranta Energia.

The programme includes art and music performances and an inclusive dance session, where instructor Sanna Salama will guide you through various dance moves to the beat of 90’s music.
